About Fuel Stick

Fuel consumption in an engine is a very complex instantaneous reaction and small changes in the fuel structure can influence the characteristics and performance of the fuel at the time of combustion. Altering the surface tension and molecule size of the fuel has significant effect on the way the fuel is atomized and eventually burnt in the combustion chamber.

One of the things Fuel Stick does is introduce small quantities of high molecular weight viscoelastic polymer to the fuel to increase the viscosity of the spray droplets. This produces a spray pattern of more uniform size droplets and suppresses the formation of very small droplets which tend to vaporize prior to ignition. This uniformity of droplet size introduces a consistent fuel molecule to the engine at the time of ignition, thus producing a more consistent air fuel ratio and improved burn. This improved burn has the effect of increasing the BTU output of the fuel to increase power and convert harmful CO to CO2 and reduce the HC and particulate content in the exhaust gasses.

There are antioxidants and other ingredients in Fuel Stick to safely provide a natural lubricant for the fuel and increase the burn rate, thus increasing the cetane and octane ratings of both diesel and gasoline, as well as cleaning the combustion chambers and fuel system. This will extend the life of your fuel system, and increase the efficiency and use of the fuel. Overall, this substantially reduces fuel consumption and emissions, while increasing power, responsiveness, and performance.

Is Fuel Stick Safe For My Engine?

There are no harmful effects to the engine from using Fuel Stick for prolonged periods of time. In most cases it will be found that the engine burns much cleaner and exhaust emissions and smoke are reduced in diesel and 2-stroke gasoline engines. Because the octane rating of the fuel is increased, most people find they can use a lower octane, less expensive fuel and still maintain the same performance as they would if they were using a more expensive, higher octane fuel, thus gaining further benefit from the use of Fuel Stick.

The majority of wear in an engine is caused by friction from carbon deposits left on the pistons and valves. As long as the carbon appears, wear will occur at the cylinder walls and valves. The secondary issue is the build-up of varnish in the injectors, fuel line, fuel pump working parts and cylinder walls. Varnish is simply impurities present in all fuel.

Fuel Stick has 3 active ingredients (cleaners) designed specifically to focus on and deal with these issues. The Fuel Stick active cleaners bond with and remove existing carbon and varnish in an engine’s combustion chamber area and fuel provision systems. They continue to work to prevent further build up. Therefore, this eliminates wear on the piston walls, allowing a smooth supply of fuel throughout the system. By removing all impurities and the toxic by-products of combustion, fuel efficiency is dramatically increased.

Exhaust After Treatment Systems

Diesel Particulate Filters & Urea

As of 2010, diesel engines are being produced with exhaust after-treatment systems, specifically Urea Systems and Diesel Particulate Filters (DPF). A urea solution is used to turn the NoX to harmless nitrogen gas and water vapor, and the DPF’s catch the “diesel soot” left over due to incomplete combustion. Both of these after treatments can be costly. Keeping the DPF clean is vital. There is a built-in automatic shut down if the filter becomes clogged. Driver involvement and participation are crucial in the optimal functioning of both systems. There are a number of ways Fuel Stick can help.

  • Little or no passive and/or active regeneration processes are necessary to clean the DPF as Fuel Stick encourages complete combustion, thereby reducing diesel soot by up to 80%
  • Less downtime as active regeneration can mean driver and truck are stopped for up to 40 minutes.
  • Substantially reduced chance of the DPF having to be replaced prior to regularly scheduled maintenance.
